Quick and easy to prepare, this Seared Bluefin Tuna Salad is a vibrant dish that will leave you feeling great inside and out. Perfect as a side salad or as the main course, this dish is sure to impress your guests at your next dinner party.
1 Place the sesame seeds on a plate or a shallow dish. One at a time, place the tuna steaks in the dish and coat all sides in sesame seeds, pressing the seeds onto the steaks.
2 Place a frypan on high heat. Once the pan is very hot, spray it lightly with nonstick spray. Place the tuna steaks on the grill and cook for approximately 2 minutes on each side.
3 Remove tuna steaks from the grill and set aside.
4 In a salad bowl, place cherry tomatoes, cucumber, baby spinach and avocado. Drizzle with olive oil and toss.
5 To serve, slice the tuna steaks into very thin slices (the steaks should have a rare, pink interior). Arrange the slices on a plate with salad and season with salt and pepper.
