How is our seafood packed and delivered?

All our seafood is frozen within hours of harvest using our very own super freezing technology. All tuna portions, prawns and sardines are stored in our vacuum-sealed cryovac bags, packed in styrofoam eskies at -60^oC, so you get the freshest seafood… all year round!

Ready to put straight in the freezer or thaw if you’re ready to use, when you order our fresh seafood, you can rest assured it is free of all preservatives or additives. It looks, tastes and feels as if we caught it fresh today!

Whether you buy our seafood during the harvest period from April to July or at any other time of the year, you will always get the same consistent quality.

Southern Bluefin Tuna

Succulent and rich in flavour, all Dinko Southern Bluefin Tuna (also known as SBT) products are simply irresistible and available for purchase as steak, portions, loin or whole fish.

Rich in flavour and luxurious in texture, Southern Bluefin Tuna is highly prized for its superior culinary quality. At Dinko, we pride ourselves on using innovative tuna farming practices and techniques that capture the flavour and freshness of the fish.

Spencer Gulf King Prawns

We’ve been fishing for Spencer Gulf King Prawns for more than fifty years, harvesting during the months of November and December, and from March to June each year.

We sell our MSC certified, European Union accredited prawns throughout Australia and export overseas, and thanks to our frozen onboard technology, you can purchase our product all year round.

Australian Sardines

The Spencer Gulf is our home, and it is from here that we travel to the best nutrient-rich waters for catching our seafood products, including Australian Sardines.

Dinko’s Australian Sardines are an average length of 145-160mm, MSC accredited and available as fresh, whole sardines during the harvest season, or sardine IQF (individually quick frozen) available all year.

Delivery details

All Dinko Seafood products are stored in our vacuum-sealed cryovac bags, then packed and transported in styrofoam eskies at -60 degrees celsius.

While we sell Dinko Seafood products at wholesale prices, small orders can become expensive when these specialised transport costs are added. To enjoy better value for money, we recommend placing orders of 5kg or more.

Once you place an order, we will pack and ship it on the first available flight (if required). Generally, your order will be delivered within 3-5 days of purchase.
