Inspired by Jamie Oliver, this zingy, refreshing and light Asian Seared Bluefin Tuna recipe will delight your taste buds.
Ingredients
1 Combine ginger, soy, 1 teaspoon of sesame oil and ¼ of the garlic in a bowl.
2 Add a squeeze of lemon juice, then mix well to combine. Set aside.
3 Slice the Dinko Southern Bluefin Tuna portion into rough 3cm chunks.
4 Place the sesame seeds onto a tray, then add the tuna chunks, ensuring all sides are evenly coated.
5 Heat olive and sesame oil in a frying pan over medium heat, then add the remaining garlic to the pan.
6 Fry for 1 to 2 minutes, until golden and crisp, then use a slotted spoon to transfer to a plate so the oil remains in the pan.
7 Return the pan to the heat and allow it to re-heat. Add the sesame-coated tuna to the oil.
8 Sear tuna chunks for 10 to 20 seconds. Using tongs, turn the tuna over and cook until each side is seared. Transfer to a plate.
9 Cut the seared tuna into 1cm slices and arrange on your plates.
10 Drizzle with the dressing, then scatter the fried garlic, spring onion, chilli and coriander leaves on top.
11 Drizzle with olive oil and serve.
